The Haemophilia Society has 16 local groups working right across the UK and Northern Ireland.
Local groups raise money in their communities and decide how that money is spent to help people affected by bleeding disorders.
Several groups run very successful family days or other get togethers every year as well as providing vital mutual support when things get tough.
Local groups can be particularly important when someone is first diagnoised with a bleeding disorder. Many members tell us that meeting someone else who understood and could answer a lot of questions was really helpful for them.
All the local groups are keen to recruit new committee members. If there isn't a local group in your area why contact us about seeing one up. Remember that bleeding disorders are relatively rare so often the areas our local groups cover have to be relatively large so they can involve enough people.
