Once of the consequences of the improvements in treatment and home delivery is that people affected by bleeding disorders now have much less chance to meet each other in the waiting rooms of haemophilia centres.
While obviously that is a good thing it does mean that it is harder for people to support each other.
One way to deal with this is to make it easier for people affected by bleeding disorders to meet online. That is why the Haemophilia Society is so pleased to have such a thriving Facebook Group.
There are now well over 1700 members of the groups covering a huge range of ages, conditions and experiences. The Group can't answer medical questions (we ask people to direct those to their haemophila centre) but it is amazing just how much useful information people are able to give each other.

Below you will find a list of other facebook groups of places online where you can meet people affected by bleeding disorders. These are not governed, managed or supervised by the Society and that any information or advice obtained on them should be checked with your Haemophilia Centre.
